The USA From Coast To Coast

In the USA New York is one of the likable quarters to visit as people marvel at the sights of the 'Big Apple' including the magnificence of Central Park, the charm of Fifth Avenue and the Statue of Liberty in Manhattan. Any of the other popular places to see are the buzzing atmosphere at Grand Central Station, the respectful 'Ground Zero' memorial or visit Broadway to see a dazzling show.

Many of us visit the United States of America's capital of Washington to see the White House, Capitol Hill and cover ground from Washington via the Allegheny Mountains. Across through the states of Ohio, Indiana and Illinois is Chicago, the 'Windy City', famed for the lawless years of the 1920s and 1930s. Nearby you can see the site of the St Valentine's Day Massacre and Al Capone's headquarters.

Make one's way through the cornfields and plains of Iowa and Nebraska brings you to the inviting civic central of Denver. During the time here you can explore the stunning Rocky Mountain National Park, the amazing Big Thompson Canyon and the beautiful valley centre of Estes Park. A scenic trip worth taking is on the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad which meanders through the Rocky Mountains where you'll see thrilling peaks on your way to the awe-inspiring city of Grand Junction in Colorado's much talked about wine region.

You can travel via road through the San Juan Mountains to the endearing old mining town of Silverton. From here you could ride the rails on the grand Durango and Silverton Railroad. Durango remains a traditional Wild West frontier and boasts many carefully restored buildings and the classic narrow-gauge railway.

Traveling through the rough and irregular landscape of the Monument Valley in Utah is an exalted exhibition to behold before progressing on through the Navajo lands and into the well-known city of Flagstaff in Arizona. Driving out of there you can drive along the world distinguished Route 66 to the main tripper citified Williams and can even travel around on the Grand Canyon Railway. The Grand Canyon Railway uses significant locomotives and traditional carriages to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon itself.

A farther favoured destination on an outing across the USA could be to go to Los Angeles or LA as it's well-known. Hollywood is the most obvious place to visit and you can choose from a whole load of locations starting at Hollywood Boulevard to nonpartisan theatres.

Setting out from LA you can freewheel in style down and along the panoramic Pacific coastline and end up in the limitless city of San Francisco. One of the most social attractions to see here is the monumental Golden Gate Bridge and the oft favoured Fisherman's Wharf. Many also visit the infamous Alcatraz Island which was a federal penitentiary with inmates as well as criminals such as the 'Birdman of Alcatraz' and Al Capone. Many visitors sample the delight of Chinatown or simply attain the weight off their feet and ride the cable cars/trams to and fro on the undulating streets.
