10 Places in the World You Have to See - Well, According to Me!

You probably all heard about the book written with the title "1000 places to see before you die". I made such a list of places I've seen myself and are worth visiting!

1. Great Barrier Reef, Australia
If you see pictures on the internet you'll know why. This is just breathtaking! It's world's largest coral reef. I even found out at Wikipedia it can be seen from outer space.

2. Fiji
Fiji is an island nation in the South Pacific Ocean. I've seen just of few of the Islands by making a cruise. This was awesome, because besides seeing multiple islands, you are also visiting a Fijian village and have time for a swim and to relax.

3. Queenstown, New Zealand
This is a very exciting place to visit because of all the adventurous activities you can experience! Jet boating, flying in a helicopter, bungee jumping ... You can find them all here.

4. New York, USA
Well, this is just a city you have to visit to catch the vibe! This IS the city that never sleeps and there is something for everyone. It's a lovely city to explore on foot or with a hop-on-hop-off bus. You can go for a stroll through Central Park, visit the many sights and museums or go shopping!

5. Grand Canyon, USA
An amazing way to see this beautiful National Park is from the sky. Take off for an exhilarating helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon. It's an once-in-a-lifetime experience!

6. Saona, Dominican Republic
Join the friendly Dominicans on a catamaran out to this beautiful island with white sandy beaches and turquoise water. Enjoy the rum, the meringue and the Dominican hospitality.

7. St. Lucia, Caribbean
This tropical island is one of my favorites in the Caribbean. Maybe it's because of its combination of high mountains, forests and beaches. Or is it because of the Pitons, two volcanic cones on the southwest coast. You can even visit a 'drive-in volcano' here!

8. Ullensvang, Norway
Ullensvang is located in the heart of Norway's Fjord District. The area Hardanger has already attracted travelers from all over the world. It's beautiful here!

9. Cape St. Vincent, Portugal
Cabo de SaƵ Vicente is the furthest southwesterly point on the European continent. You can go here when you're visiting Lisbon. You have a great view over the sea with its beautiful coastline. Don't forget to visit the lighthouse!

10. Mirabell Garten, Salzburg (Austria)
Salzburg is a cozy city in Austria and world famous because of the movie The Sound of Music. One of the places you definitely have to see while visiting Salzburg is The Mirabel Garten. The garden looks beautiful in the spring and summer with all the flowers. Maybe you can even attend one of the summer concerts they organize outside in the Garten.
